ReplyDeleteYou see, Rose was one of the Doctor's closest companions, his first companion since he destroyed Gallifrey and they traveled together. But when they came back to Earth one time, strange stuff was going on because of Torchwood, and long story short, Rose got trapped in an Alternate Universe with her Mom, ex-boyfriend Mickey who had been trapped in the AU on a previous trip, and an AU version of her Dad. She spends years trying to come back, and she's successful in a later season, but the Doctor sent her back to the AU where she now lives happily ever after with Tentoo, the human doctor. :)

ReplyDeleteBasically the same thing that happened to the other companions - something tragic. Donna got her memory wiped, Martha left after seeing her parents forced into labor by the Master, Amy and Rory got sent into the past by a Weeping Angel, and Clara was killed.

ReplyDeleteYeah, it's sad. But I have to admit, she got a little annoying in the later seasons. Still, it's a shame what happened and now we're all waiting to see who the new companion will be next year when the new season comes out.
